“Ah, did I die?” Idoko, as some people would call her, asked herself this. “This doesn’t seem to be heaven, so it must be my imagination. Ah, but no matter! Wherever this place might be, I’ll do my best,…

“Vati!” She felt unparalleled happiness when he embraced her. Ever since the unfortunate incident his father had with the well, she knew she would never feel his warm touch ever again. But now, because of strange circumstances, they had finally gotten the chance to meet again. “I missed you so much…”

But she knew that now was not the right time. As happy as their reunion might be, she knows this won’t last long. Stuck in a place where several doors and voices calling out to them, everyone would have to return to their place eventually. After all, if she was drawn to a certain door, then the others would be the same too. She pulled back and said, “Ah, but you’ll have to go somewhere else again, right Vati?” Her father leaving to go on some adventure was not something new to her of course. “If you really have to, then please go.”

She smiled the biggest smile she could manage. ”I’m a big girl now, so you don’t have to worry about me!”

Another voice he found vaguely familiar? He wasn’t sure exactly…

“Do her best” she says, yet where would she begin? Once again finding herself in another “world”, she thought of exploring this strange place all by herself. since she remembered not experiencing any sort of difficulty at all during her stay in that other strange place inside the well. Having noticed the presence of other people in this area, she considered approaching one of them, but that became unnecessary when someone else approached her instead.

She was about to greet the stranger whose voice seemed quite familiar, but was unable to do so when she got a good look at him. This person… didn’t he fall down a well? What was he doing here then?

Unable to find the right words to say, she only managed to let out a single word. “… Vati?”

Oh…?
